Dancing Miss Daisy is an Inclusive Dance provision specifically tailored for those with additional needs.
Since 2018 I have provided sessions to equip students with a voice, an outlet, and the creative skills to make informed movement decisions.
Together, we Dance to reflect each student’s thoughts, feelings, and unique perspective on the world.
We use music and movement to creatively explore what Dance means to each one of us.
What does Dance with Daisy look like?
Sessions could be;
-Topic based to seamlessly support learning in other areas of the curriculum
- Goal based in line with pupil’s targets
-Project based, or geared towards performance work
-Used as an intervention for individuals or groups of students…

About me
Dancing Miss Daisy merges my two passions: Dance and working with those with additional needs.
Alongside my career as a professional Dancer, I worked to support young people with complex learning needs, which was incredibly fulfilling.
I have over 10 years of experience in SEND and mainstream settings, and my practice is ever evolving.
It felt like a natural progression to begin delivering Inclusive Dance sessions over 5 years ago, and I have been learning and growing ever since.
I am one of the lucky ones who truly loves what they do, and I only have hopes to expand DMD in the future.
