Interventions
Dance can aid understanding & learning and also provide an opportunity for self regulation.
DMD sessions are therapeutic in their nature. The combination of a structure and routine, with the freedom to choose & move creatively, has a long-lasting positive effect.
DMD provides students with a safe and creative space in which to thrive.
Contact me for more information on 1-1 or small group interventions.

Supporting Teachers
Often staff feel at a loss for how to facilitate Dance within the curriculum.
I can inspire new ideas to aid you moving forwards on your own, and support you through observations, workshops and planning time.
Take a look at my brochure for more details on the DMD approach, or contact me to discuss your needs as a school.

Profound Learning needs
It is important to me that students with profound and multiple difficulties experience the joy of movement, music and Dance no matter their physical challenges.
Using our senses, and immersing ourselves in music and props; we can create topic based sessions for all to access. There are no limitations!
-
Yoga
Drawing on my passion for all things Yoga, sessions have a sensory/therapeutic nature to calm the body down for the rest of the day.
DMD incorporates Yoga poses, breath work, meditation/mindfulness, and massage when appropriate. Students are given the tools to be able to self regulate, so that they can best access the rest of their day.
Read my brochure for more information on how best to support your staff and students.

Adults
Dancing Miss Daisy facilitates sessions without limitations, supporting those with needs in a range of settings through 6th form, College and beyond.
DMD sessions can take place in your community hall, social space, classroom, living space, outside…anywhere! People of all ages can get creative and share in the joy of movement long into adulthood.
Contact me to discuss any ideas you may have for your setting.
